Workwear embroidery: how to get the best results

Workwear embroidery: how to get the best results

Using embroidery to brand workwear with your company logo results in a smart and polished appearance for your workforce. Embroidery is the ideal uniform customisation method to use if you’re looking to project a professional and refined brand image. However, ensuring high-quality workwear embroidery is essential to ensure that it can withstand industrial washing and resist fading and fraying.

How is workwear embroidered?

At Contego Safety Solutions, we use embroidery machines manufactured by market-leaders, Tajima. When you supply a digital copy of your logo, we recreate it precisely using high-quality Madeira threads at our modern in-house embroidery and Heatseal printing department. Our machines are capable of producing up to 3,000 branded garments a day, so whatever the size of your business and your requirement for customised workwear, we can deliver what you need quickly to keep your workforce looking smart and on-brand.

What workwear can be embroidered?

Whether your workforce is customer-facing or behind the scenes, all staff can benefit from branded uniforms, in a variety of sectors including construction and utilities or facilities management and contract cleaning. They give a consistent look of professionalism across your company and instil a sense of belonging in your employees. When you’re choosing the workwear for your business, we can advise on which items are suitable for embroidery from our extensive range – there may be more items than you think. T-shirts, coats and tailored workwear are all often suitable for embroidering, as well as safety workwear. Sometimes other methods of branding are more appropriate, such as Heatseal when a large format logo is required, or special reflective transfers on to high-vis clothing.

What’s the workwear embroidery process?

When we receive your logo artwork, we’ll set up the design ready for you to approve. From there, embroidery takes between three and seven days to complete and dispatch. We recommend our WEARPACK® service, where we’ll package up an individual’s uniform and label the package with their name, ready for easy internal distribution. Re-ordering is easy too, using our Online Management Portal where you can manage all the processes efficiently.
